This garden pushes the boundaries of low water gardening, with 95% California-native plants and very restricted summer irrigation. Designed to handle deer browsing in the front garden, it features a steep south-facing slope in the back and shallow bedrock throughout. Yet, with carefully selected plants, there is bloom and beautiful foliage in all seasons.
